The problem with cars

You could say it’s been an interesting few weeks for my car. It’s been involved with the police, been locked up in a warehouse for several days, cost me a small fortune and caused me to be late for work three days in a row.

I hate my Satio, but what if…?

Do you ever read about a piece of technology and get excited by the very thought of it? Do you then become more and more annoyed when you purchase said tech and find it to be a useless pile of knob? And do you think I should stop opening blog entries with questions? Anyway, the topic of todays blog post is my phone. The Sony Ericsson Satio.

Football Manager 2028

Ok, so who plays Football Manager? The one problem with this great game is that, after a while, everyone knows which players to buy. Everyone knows who the big teams are, who the best players are, who the best coaches are etc. But what if you didn’t? What do you get when you start up a game of FM2009 and put yourself on holiday for 20 years? What would the footballing world look like in June 2028?

Knew I forgot something…

You know that niggling feeling you get when you know you’ve forgotten something but just can’t place what it is? Recently I’ve had that feeling. And upon looking through my bookmarks today and seeing “Wordpress” written there in front of me it suddenly struck me!

So, what have I been up to in the past 4 months?

The answer, sadly, is not much.

WWE NXT: The Verdict

So, NXT has arrived. The next step in Sports Entertainment? Here are my views on the show, which I watched before work this morning! I thought NXT was supposed to be a reality show. I almost didn’t watch it because of that. Let’s make things clear now… this is NOT a reality show. What it is… is one of the most entertaining WWE shows I’ve seen in a long time.

The World of e-Feds

A lot of wrestling fans spend their free time participating in e-feds, otherwise known as e-Wrestling or Fantasy Wrestling. This blog is to explain what an e-fed is, for those of you who may be unfamiliar.

Anyway, where should I start…?

An Interesting Weekend

Kat was nervous at first, due to a dislike of large crowds, but she got more into it after Rickie Lambert’s stunning free kick which warmed us all. I was quite surprised she recognised Kelvin Davies, albeit as “that guy I bumped into in Asda”, and after about 20 minutes she asked “Is he always offside?” in regards to Papa Waigo. It wasn’t long before she was moaning at Lloyd James’ short corners and telling me that everyone from Luton is a knife carrying ****. She also laughed louder than most when Luton’s Adam Newton failed to slot home into the open goal from 2 yards out. I think she’s picking things up quite nicely.

We’re Building a Book

Several months ago Kat came home with an idea for a book. Not a serious idea, just a jokey thing that would likely be classed as a novelty book. We tossed around that idea for a while, adding to it and improving it. Even creating a mock up of what it might look like.

And then we thought ‘why don’t we actually do this?’

So, we are.

Slow Day

Today has been, unequivocally, a ghastly day.

I’m writing this as I finish my shift at work, one I started eight hours ago. Although my brain and body are both feeling as if my shift started eighty hours ago. Never before has a day dragged quite so much as this one.

Christmas Lists

Yesterday my girlfriend asked me to do something I haven’t done since I was a child. Write a Christmas list.

The process got me thinking about what I wanted for Christmas, as well as birthday because that happens to be the same day. I found myself jotting a few things down and then feeling bad about what I’d listed.
